In March of 2010, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed requiring all individuals to maintain minimum essential health coverage. Therefore, we have options to meet those requirements on and off of the Marketplace. Traditional ACA compliant plans; no pre-existing conditions, vast provider networks, variety of plan designs. Can only be offered during open enrollment and special qualifying events. / Healthcare Sharing Ministries; (an increasingly popular option) have vast provider networks, variety of options, favorable household monthly amounts, and high flexibility with enrollment

Dental Insurance provides individual (and family) benefits for services such as cleanings, x rays, fillings, extractions, crowns and much more. Depending on Some plans require you to use network providers while others do not. / Vision Insurance provides individual (and family) benefits for checkups as well as corrective materials such as glasses and contacts.

Term Life Insurance: Covers individuals for a selected period of time (for example 10, 20, or 30 years and term to 100). Policy pays tax-free benefits upon the death of the individual. This type of coverage is a simple form of life insurance, and is typically more-easily affordable. Often bought to replace income that would be lost if a wage earner were to pass away. / Universal Life Insurance: Created to provide more flexibility than whole life insurance by allowing the policy owner to shift money between the insurance and savings components of the policy. While providing a death benefit, this type of policy incorporates a savings vehicle.

An interim or temporary solution to upholding health insurance coverage. This product is ideal for individuals who may be awaiting coverage with an employer (i.e., in an elimination period), searching for a full-time job with health benefits, or works seasonally. Plans typically cover an individual/family for 1-12 months.

Protects an individual against the financial burden that may occur should they have an accident or injury that results in the need for a caregiver or extended rehabilitation. This type of policy includes a broad range of services in addition to long-term care facilities, such as assisted living and home health care, allowing you to choose the care that best fits your needs.

Available as separate policies or combined. Can provide the individual cash benefits when certain unexpected situations occur (i.e., accidental injuries, hospital stays, cancer diagnoses, heart attack). Plans pay cash directly to you that can be used to pay deductibles, co-insurances, etc.

Can be key to retirement. Fixed annuities help individuals reach a long term goal by providing a guaranteed return in a set period of time, while accumulating a tax-deferred guaranteed rate of interest. Preferable option in comparison to CD, with return rates as much as 2-3x higher.

Coverage for preventative services such as well woman exams, mammograms, PSA tests, annual physicals and child immunizations, as well as provide some coverage for doctor-prescribed medications. Combines well with short-term coverages and high deductible plans.
